How Can A Young Commercial Photographer Deal With Models
A common problem that any young commercial photographer faces today is – dealing with models. Many a budding commercial photographer ask me how to adjust with the models and how to get them working in the desired way. It is also a frequent query in many online forums meant for a commercial photographer or anyone from the background of advertising photography.
The best way to deal with models today – both professional as well as amateur – is to be friendly with them. Since you are young and new to the industry, professional models would not entertain your whims like they succumb to the experts and who's who of the industry. And the amateur models would be inexperienced.
In both the situations, you have to be friendly with them and win their confidence. You would have to help them open up with you. Don't be overtly polite to the professional models and neither harsh with new ones. The best way to go about it is just be your friendly self and at the same time be professional.
